Performance Art Week
PAW XI - April 18-19, 2023
Performance Art Week (PAW) is an annual performance-based program open to all Auraria Campus students, alumni, and professional artists. Now in its eleventh year, this event is intended to offer a unique opportunity to activate space, engage viewers and to experience live performance and electronic art. We welcome all proposals, a selection of which will be invited to perform at Emmanuel Art Gallery on the Auraria Campus on April 18 and 19, 2023.

As per-formed
Our sister gallery, CU Denver Experience Gallery, is also participating in PAW with an installed exhibition called As Per-formed, focused on the tangible artifact often resulting from performative and time-based artworks. Performance artists working in all media (iron, audio, projection, social media, durational works, collaborations, spoken word) are encouraged to submit the intentional and arbitrary results of live performative artworks. Artists are asked to consider the visual aftermath of a live action: residual forms, props, outfits, photographs, video clips, publications, and more.
